Born from clay,
made with love

YouDesignCeramic started as a single wheel in a small Ankara studio in 2021. We believe that everyday objects should carry beauty — that your morning coffee tastes better from a handcrafted stoneware mug that someone shaped with their own hands.

Today, we still work the same way — slowly, carefully, with respect for the material. Each piece of handcrafted stoneware ceramic takes three days from clay to finished glaze.

From Clay to Your Door

01Step 01

Shaping from Clay

Every piece begins with raw stoneware clay — kneaded, centered on the wheel, and slowly pulled into form by hand. The process is meditative, unhurried.

02Step 02

Inspection

Before any firing, each piece is examined by eye and touch. Cracks, warps, or thin walls are caught here. Only perfect forms move forward.

03Step 03

Kiln Firing

A bisque firing at 1000°C transforms soft clay into durable ceramic. The kiln runs for hours while we wait with patience for the transformation.

04Step 04

Painting & Glazing

Each piece is hand-painted with our signature mineral glazes. No two brushstrokes are identical — which is exactly how we like it.

05Step 05

Second Firing

A second firing at high temperature fuses the glaze permanently into the stoneware, sealing colour and making every piece food-safe and dishwasher-resistant.

06Step 06

Final Glazing

A final glaze layer is applied to add depth, richness and that distinctive handcrafted finish. Each piece is inspected once more before moving on.

07Step 07

Careful Packaging

Your order is wrapped in tissue, nestled in recycled paper, and sealed with intention. The unboxing moment is part of the gift.

08Step 08

On Its Way

Handed to our trusted couriers, every parcel is tracked from studio to doorstep. We follow each one until it reaches you safely.
